Lineation.
The upper photograph shows a very strong preferred orientation of crossite
needles, their c axes lying E-W and all showing their blue pleochroic colour.
Confirmation that this is a linear fabric is given by a section of the rock
cut normal to the lineation (lower photograph), in which most of the grains
are basal sections cut normal to c and showing the lavender colour.
Field of view is 1 mm across.
